
This project features candid public photos of people out in the city — on their own.
Street photography works best when you capture reactions and interactions. Doing that with people on their own is a challenge. As is grabbing the photo at all.
It's easy to allow the person to spot you taking their photo. And then it's not candid anymore. So, it's a challenge to stay unnoticed, too.
What I noticed when shooting for this project was: facial expressions still tell a story. So, even though these people are on their own, seeing their expressions still tells their story.
